eCADSTAR – La nouvelle génération de logiciel de CAO électronique Chat @PCBWest19

Jeroen Leinders, Global eCADSTAR Solutions Leader, and Chris Hambleton, Engineering General Manager, were invited by Mike Buetow on PCB Chat (part of PCB West) to reveal the features for the new PCB design platform.

After the first seconds into the podcast it became apparent that eCADSTAR is built by engineers for designers. To mention a few highlights, the software is optimised with modern technologies (2D/3D graphics, touch screen, multi-core and 64 bit processors) and seamless internet connectivity.

Jeroen Leinders mentions, that eCADSTAR’s core focus is to help streamline your PCB design process. eCADSTAR has been built from the ground-up to take advantage of our 40+ years knowledge of what PCB designers require from their design software. The platform has been designed to be intuitive with key functions “at your fingertips” and no need to switch between tools – its all within the single user interface.

eCADSTAR also introduces Internet-connected services to ease your design flow. Through making use of the embedded browser within the platform, eCADSTAR allows users to seamlessly connect to component supplier websites, search for parts, purchase and download the parts into their designs, ready to be placed by the designers.

One of the things that many designers are looking for as the ECAD and the MCAD worlds continue to converge, is the capability to move back and forth between those two environments. eCADSTAR gives our users the best of both worlds, seamlsemessly switching from 2D to 3D.

Nowadays there is a need to deliver faster PCB designs in order to gain competitive advantage. We are tailoring the software to your needs, and that is why, « we’ve changed the way that we use the touch screen. The feature is more like a ‘touch screen companion’, for example if you want to change the routing mode without disrupting the design flow », says Chris Hambleton.
